Ariel Battles Through Challenges in Virginia
The third round of the USF Juniors Championship at Virginia International Raceway was filled with highs and lows for Ariel Elkin and the InterMS Racing team. Ariel showcased incredible speed throughout the weekend, breaking the all-time track lap-time record during qualifying and securing 2nd place for Race 1 and Pole Position for Races 2 and 3.
However, despite the strong start, the races presented unexpected challenges. In Race 1, Ariel initially crossed the line in 3rd place, but a post-race penalty following contact with another driver dropped him to 8th, denying him a podium finish.
Race 2 proved even more dramatic, as Ariel found himself in a fierce battle for the lead. Unfortunately, a collision between two other drivers resulted in one crashing into Ariel, sending him into the wall. Thankfully, Ariel escaped unharmed, but his race was cut short.
Determined to bounce back, the InterMS team worked tirelessly to rebuild the car for Race 3. Ariel led most of the race and appeared on track for victory, but a miscommunication during a safety car restart caused him to lose several places, costing him the win.
Despite the setbacks, Ariel’s pace and resilience were clear, and the team remains optimistic as they move forward in the championship.
