Ariel Begins USF PRO 2000 Journey with Debut Practice Days
Ariel Elkin recently took an important step toward his future in racing, completing his first practice sessions in the USF PRO 2000 at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The test marks his introduction to a higher level on the Road to Indy pathway, offering valuable experience in a car with dynamics comparable to Formula 3. Partnering with the TJ Speed team, Ariel quickly familiarized himself with the car's power and advanced handling.
Over two days, Ariel tackled the car's increased speed and refined his approach to technical challenges. Adjusting to the precision required for high-speed cornering and braking, he worked closely with TJ Speed’s engineers to fine-tune his technique and learn the track. At the end of the test, Ariel was ranked 11th out of 24 drivers — a strong result for his first time in the USF PRO 2000 car.
Reflecting on the experience, Ariel described the sessions as transformative: “The USF PRO 2000 car is a new level of intensity, and testing at Indy was unforgettable. The TJ Speed team has been incredibly supportive, and I’m grateful for their guidance as I explore this next stage.” This test marks only the beginning, as Ariel and his team work diligently to secure the budget needed to fully enter this category next season.
